My grandmother was a seamstress and she taught me how to sew and she used to say that the hems of dresses must be blind hem stich. By that time, my granny had a Singer machine, as old as the world, and its stiches were so fine and delicate. I loved that machine. But by that time, she made the hem handmade. And that was the way she taught to me and till now probably I would prefer to made the hem handmade if it were a dress for a party.
Well, I am making pajamas now. And I heard about the blind stich...hummm sounds interesting...how does it work?
So I searched the internet to learn how to make the blind hem stich so I can simplify my life.
I started to search the net trying to find some how to, and I found this video; it is a great video. It is easy to made and the hem looks like to be invisible. Now, I am sewing all the hems of my pajamas with the blind hem, using a sewing machine. Saves you time.
